Apple & cinnamon pancakes

Delicious, fruity pancakes served with a big dollop of whipped cream

What you need:

  • 1 packet of Aunt Bessie's Frozen Traditional Pancakes
  • 4 cooking apples (approx 700g/ 1 1/2lb)
  • 50g/2oz butter
  • 50g/2oz golden caster sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp groung cinnamon
  • 50g/2oz raisins
  • Maple syrup
  • Whipped cream

What you do:

  1. Peel, quarter and core the apples then slice thickly.
  2. Melt 50g/2oz of the butter in a pan, add the apples, sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Cover the pan and cook gently for about 10 minutes or until the apples are beginning to soften.
  4. Stir in the cinnamon and raisins.
  5. Heat the pancakes as directed on the packet.
